I have not 'let myself go' simply because I have to work so damn hard from the time I wake up to the time I go to bed, It would be very hard for me to gain a substantial amount of weight. She needs to throw herself into something that will keep her busy and feeling fulfilled. I think it is hard to become signficantly overweight if you are A)healthy and B) actively living a positive lifestyle.

It was a Windjammer cruise, I think... whatever it was, it was a blast. My sister earned the trip as a bonus from work, so everything was paid for, including the day cruise and a guided hike through the rainforest. It was a nice way to leave my mid-thirties and enter the dreaded late thirties, heh.

Medication can make you bloat up. I was taking antihistimines, decongestants, and Flonase (steroids!!!) a few years ago (for chronic sinusitus) and was getting bloated and sick in other ways. Now I just wash my nasal passages out (neti-- it's actually a form of yoga) and I am much healthier. Medicine is a double edged sword sometimes...
