i'm just speaking the truth man. this country could care less about blacks and other minorities. if this were a situation where wealthy or middle class whites were trapped the response would have been lightning quick from the gov't.
Yeah, true.

this country could care less? then why don't they?

that doesn't make any sense man

I'm not defending Sudheer, but when it comes to who the Government `values` more, it's the taxpayers -- not the poverty stricken folks. If the government was a living creature, it would absolutely value rich (insert race) folks over poor (insert race) folks. Just so happens that NO is slammed with poor folks that happen to be black.

Is that justification for the slow movement of the government? Not at all.

On a separate note, isn't there something about not being able to use the military as a police force in the constitution?

what's even more sickening is how the race card is being played by everyone, when we all should be united together in an effort to save these damn people. there will be time for criticism and pointing fingers, let's just lay off it until the crisis has abated.

It'd be interesting to see what backlash (if any) that Kanye gets as a result of this. That being said, I doubt that his core audience (teenagers to late 20's folks) was watching it anyway.

That was antirap/black? If anything, I think that Kanye probably appeals more to young white males vs a black audience. Last time I checked, whites make a up a majority of hip-hop consumption.

Wasn't his first album entitled "The College Dropout?" After listening to him speak last night, I can believe it.

I think Kanye did drop out of art school but he's not stupid. Arrogant, outspoken (in a bad way), rude, maybe but not stupid. His mother is a well respected English professor/PHD which is kinda ironic after listening to him talk the other night 😛

She's married to a former Black Panther. She probably had a lot to do with the way he sees things.

How can kanye be such a big rapper guy or whatever when he's completely illiterate - he obviously can barely read the cue cards, much less speak coherently.

Contrasted to Mike Myers who is very eloquent. Surprising.

Oh, another mirror:

wow. you could tell mike myers didn't have the slightest clue what to say.

As discussed on the first, second, and third page of this thread. 😛
