I have a 16 year old first cousin who is Autistic. He was at his tutor, and she was trying to get him to say the word "Eagle". She was using a picture book of birds so he'd understand what she was talking about. She offered him a prize if he got it right. He did. She asked him what he wanted (she had in mind a cookie or a lolipop). He picked up the picture book and pointed to a Macaw. He wanted that as the prize. The teacher said no, because she couldn't afford to buy an exotic bird for her student.
Later that day, he was standing on his porch at home and a MACAW LANDED ON THE RAILING. They are not native to NJ 😉. He put out his arm and the bird landed on it. Now he has his pet Macaw. I heard this story from his parents and the teacher. I saw the bird. It's true. I found it amazing, I wonder what you guys think.

uhhh...not buying.

Well, ok, but I know that it's true.

You asked what we thought. You could be just pulling everyone's leg.

Hey, I understand if you don't believe it. It does sound unbelievable. I don't know what the point of pulling the legs of people I don't even know would be, but whatever.

Random chance that the human mind wants to assign greater meaning to. Don't give it too much thought, I am sure someone will be putting out flyers for thier escaped very expensive bird.

Perhaps, but it's one hell of a coincidence.
EDIT: I'm sure that if I read this story somewhere on the web I would think it a load of rubbish too.

What else could it be? Thier is some grand conspiracy to provide your little cousin with an exotic bird? Methinks not. 😉

Uh HELLO! he already had the bird before pointing it out to the teacher. He was simply trying to tell the teacher that he had one and wanted it to be there with him. Why else would he pick that particular bird? duHh. I know this story, he was my neighbor and that was my bird. It escaped and flew over to his house. Now they won't give it back.

They're trying to tell the story to get sympathy so they won't have to give it back. Well its not going to work.
