I gave away my e-mail password on a site that was obviously fake but I was too sleepy to notice until after i hit enter. I don't know WTF I was thinking. Luckily I only use that username on that e-mail and I only use that password in a couple of other places, so there should be little to no damage. I immediately changed the PW to something else.

It's related to this thread. one of the e-mails said to click on some link to unsubscribe. It opened a new window (the kind that doesn't show URL or any buttons) instructing the user to enter username/password to unsubscribe, I think it sends the passwords here:

WHY WOULD I ACTUALLY ENTER MY USERNAME AND PASSWORD TO UNSUBSCRIBE TO A MAILING LIST?!?!? it's not even a good trick yet I still fell for it :| If I was going to get phished, it should've been at least with a professional looking site and not from some douchebag amateur college student.

I should've just gone to bed when I first got sleepy, but now because of this, I'm not tired anymore

exactly, I HAVE NO IDEA!!!! I was tired and wasn't thinking straight. I'm not normally this stupid with internet security, I have about 6 different passwords for different things. Each one is unique, has letters, numbers and sometimes symbols, I ALWAYS read the fine print on almost everything I sign up for. I always change my security settings for any accounts that I have, etc.
