OMG! I'm getting burn-in on my Dell LCD!

I had temporary burn-in on my laptop screen. Freaked out as the first thought was big $$ to fix it. But after a few hours, the burned image completely went away, and I do mean completely.

I am glad I have dual LCDs, I always switch IE to different screens.. 🙂 Had these duals for 14 months, no problems yet 🙂

They suggest turning it off for a day or two.

Hmmm... a magnetic issue, eh? Sounds like it could be fixed with a good whack from a hammer.

i rarely have any window in the same place twice, hopefully that saves me from burn-in in the long run. i guess it doesn't help for the taskbar though.

I don't think the taskbar is as big a concern, as it usually only happens with extremely dark (i.e. black text, in this case) images. None of the other elements of IE are burned in, and since I switched the toolbar layout and turned off my monitor for a few hours, the burn-in is slowly fading.

I've got over 2222hrs use on my HP F50 LCD, no burning in at all, but it's got a faint dark area on the monitor, practically never noticeable.
