That desk looks great, but I would probably go blind trying to read things on my monitor from that far back ;) Now that would be a good setup if monitor-goggles were available :)

Actually, that same library has those goggles available too (Sony Glasstrons) ;). They are REALLY cool, altrough the image-quality could be a bit better (it's a bit fuzzy if I remember correctly). And I think you might get a headache if you used them all the time.

My friend was working on one he called the "World Tree" from Thor comics....

It was sort of like a gyroscopic ball, ultimately configurable, high production value (really nice wood, etc.)...:) 'Course then his friend alcohol led him astray....

That is nice, but where is the price tag on that one?

Also, about the original one - I don't see why that costs 4G's. It looks like you could buy some parts and construct something similar by yourself for a lot less

It's the design. There are alot of products out there that look simple and cheap, but that still cost alot of money. Reason is that it took alot of time and money to design it.

For example: My logitech trackball. Once you open it, you see that it's REALLY simple! All the electronics in it propably costs about 2 dollars. Yet it costs alot more when you buy it! One reason is that it took Logitech alot of time and resources to design it in such way that it's ergonomic.

Of course with a price tag of $4100. I doubt I'll ever be sitting in that thing. Bloody Hell!
Hey! It's on sale!
Retail price for the Classic is $6750.00.

If I pay $4100 for a desk, it better be able to do whatever my girlfirend does, and then some.

Other than that? Cooler than hell.

what happens when i get pissed b/c i cant beat a game? I'll probably get impaled with a pole, and have the monitor land on my head.

Almost looks like a modded death row chair
