OMG I Just Remembered......... It's the 58th anniversary of D-Day.

I'd just like to thank all the soldiers who landed that day & a very heart felt thank you to all the people who lost there lives, so that I could live in a free world.

Sincerely,
Aquaman

Thanks - I almost forgot too.
In all, some 156,000 soldiers from Canada, the United States, Britain and nine other countries formed the largest armada in history for the D-Day invasion, storming ashore on June 6, 1944.
Thank you all.

Oh wow... that is today.

May the souls of those who passed, and of those who have yet to join them, rest in peace and may the memory of their ultimate sacrifice live on forever in the name of glory.

Thank you.

I've been reminding people all day.

Thank you to all vets of that battle. Hopefully, nobody in the future will ever learn first hand the horror you experienced.

Thank you for reminding me.

I can't imagine the horror the soldiers had to face on D-Day. To the fallen I give my thanks and prayers. To those who are still alive, I say "Thank You". Only those of you who lived through it can ever know what it was like.

My dad was part of the invasion at Omaha beach. He never talked too much about his war experiences with his sons so I don't have a clue as to what time of day he went ashore (he was an engineer in the war...built and destroyed bridges and stuff), but I don't think it was a pretty sight when he did because the only time I ever heard him say 'Jesus Christ' that wasn't in a complimentary fashion was when I plugged in Saving Private Ryan. He didn't get passed the opening sequence before giving up on it.

Thanks dad. You did good.

Wow. Thanks for the reminder. I somehow feel a little sadder now. Why doesn't the media make a bigger deal out of it? It was only the turing point of WWII!

my grandfather, who is now deceased, fought in that war. i would like to take a moment to remember and honor him and those who sacrificed for our freedom. thanks for the reminder.

Seems like not too many people are remembering.......... I went to the CNN site & could find nothing about it 🙁

Cheers,
Aquaman

I dun thinkn they heard you, go out into the middle of the street and begin yelling it. If the cops come begin violently fighting them, I'm sure the fighters will appreciate that. When you tell the police why you did it, make sure you note that you saw hallucinations of all these people, and you had beent alking to them in the street. They'll believe ya, trust me. Oh, if you get put into a room with white padded walls, it's part of the procedure. Dont panic
