yeah they have 1 maybe 2 good songs... but then the rest of them are still the same crap crying about this and that...
They did do a pretty good concert at HFS though.

I'd like to measure up the lyrics of Dashboard Fags to that of Skinny Puppy's. This song has to be the most painful sounding song I've ever heard.

From Skinny Puppy's The Choke:
torment a stench one side inside no doubt lost count
brutalize the half red eyes decide
which side whose side you're in the middle of the fire
a scythe and smock is sharp so sharp
no conscience such confidence a crooked ear so insincere
a glue-on smile your social style tyrants rule is such a fool
superior good advice it's so nice from you
arguments so hideous they're heaven sent you can't repent
words like ice cut and slice announce my demise
christ why did you die?
superior good advice blood red and arguments
heaven sent torment my stench putrefy putrefy
wise so wise you're not so wise
shadow shadow shadow shadow why?

yes b/c listening to meaningful lyrics is a bad thing.

granted he became the posterchild for the term "emo", but you can't stereotype an entire genre...not every so called emo group has a "whiney" voice.

Should listen to so impossible, summer's kiss and places that we've come to fear the most... good stuff, especially if you just got your heart broken : ).

and for the record dc is not punk nor is it emotional punk...he can't help it if people like you or mtv or whomever categorize his music.

what do you expect mtv fame to do to a person? Make him not sell out shows :0.

anyway, people have different tastes in music, I used to listen to 311 when I was in 5th grade, can't stand them now...

I guess pop music dressed as punk ala good charlotte, avril, all american rejects whatever else is playing on mtv is what's in right now..so deal with it and hopefully it'll pass over.

and honestly...if you don't like the music, how can you be sick of it? You actually listen to it for that long?

------------

I'll only hunt you down if you say brand new is bad : ).

well, between the combonation of the radio/mtv/other ppl talking about it and listening to it, thats hwo i got sick of it.

yeah, hopefully this 'punkpop' crap will pass, its really sad...

and actually all DC does after a heartbreak is make it worse ;), listen to something good to take out your anger!!1

there is good pop-punk out there...

i.e. punchline, fallout boy

just gotta dig a little deeper.

stuff on mtv "for the most part" is just artless music...dumbed down for the masses, so most people besides the teeny boppers won't like it.

Unfortunately, some bands that are great and do deserve recognition are getting on mtv..it's sad, but you can't be pissed off at a band for "making it"

this is happening very rapidly to brand new...probably taking back sunday as well...meh.

I'll only be scared when hardcore starts getting regular airplay on mtv.
