OMG i got the limited edition Metal Gear Solid PS3!

i just did a light wetsanding just to rough up the surface so the new paint has something to adhere to. just used simple 2000 grit sandpaper. and yeah.. those paint are in small 100ml cans and you can find em at hobby shops.
 
you know, i visit xboxscene.com a lot, and i just had the idea to make a thread seeing if anyone here paints or mods their consoles. this makes me want to post pics of my blue and black 360. turned out pretty well i guess.


but, awesome job on the PS3 man!

You two are talking about the chrome "PLAYSTATION 3" written across the top of the console, and not the small "PS" logo just above the bluray slot right?

Yup. $599 gets you a gray 40GB PS3 with matching gray DS3 and a copy of MGS4 LE. Why the hell would you want this over the $499 80GB DS3 + MSG4 bundle? I'm flabbergasted.

I could be wrong, but if I recall correctly, the LE includes both a sixaxis and a DS3.

That was my question as well. At the PS3 forums, he said "the letters are just plastic chrome stickers. i removed em carefully with a hobby knife."
