OMG, how do i install the drivers for my Geforce 3 in Winxp?!

Everytime i uninstall the drivers through the control panel, and restart, it will automatically (no user intervention), install it's own drivers. i don't even get a prompt that asks me if i want to install. how do the rest of you guys update your detonators? does this mean that i don't need to clean up my old driver installations? i can just hit the driver.exe file, but i'm worried about leftovers.
 
I went through the same crap - I ended up rebooting about 4-5 times before I got it settled.

Try just installing the stadard VGA driver - don't uninstall the old geforce driver. Then install the new dets over the VGA driver.
