that vid is older than the intarwebs itself. That kids just covering it, theres videos of the composer, Jerry C, playing it floating out there somewhere.

The song itself isnt all that hard except really for the sweep picking parts.
 
OMG- c'mon, when a video in on NBC news (6 months ago), you know pretty much the entire world has seen it (except for the OP I guess).

This stuff gets old. Why is it all these "talented" people can't play original music?!?!?!

They're talented as far as playing guitar, but I have a feeling none of these guys could write anything worth listening to. It makes it meaningless if all you can do is play other peoples music.
 
Oh no, not this stupid Canon thing again. He really isn't that good. He is GOOD, but about as good as the other 100,000 players that can play like this. It takes about 1 minute to look for other Youtube no name guitarists who don't get 25 million views but are technically better than this kid.
 
I am so sick of seeing the video in the OP. That god damn kid isn't anywhere near as good as Jerry C, but he gets a shitload more credit. It's pathetic.

I can play most of it pretty well, at least up to the sweep picking parts... haven't quite worked out those yet.

But yea i give way more props to Jerry C than this kid. I mean, anyone can learn to play like that with enough practice. Any good guitarist should be able to cover it. Its much harder to learn the theory behind it all and to actually compose or improv on your own.
