hehe, and I've found them to be password, admin, Administrator, and password123
edit: and "remember that place where I hid that thing that time"

I normally just look under the wristrest or mousepad

That movie is great, brings back so many memories...

I personally always love the part where the man dude says "blow me" to the bad guy and he smiles and says something like "thank you".

There's so many great things about that movie...That fisher dudge with the chicken neck as the main bad guy. I love how he cruises around on a skateboard even though he's like 45.

The liberal use of totally mismatched and rampantly incorrect computer jargon. The outragous outfits. Mathew Lillard rubbing his own nipples while talking about hacker books.

Yeah, and like computer dudes hang out at ultra fashionable retro gaming cyber cafes with skateboard ramps and big ol' hoinkin video games.

Disturbingly, I get the feeling that if that wasn't true before the movie, the movie made it true (for endusers anyway, for admins it seems to be "password" "admin" "administrator" and "password123")

That movie was bad and technically inaccurate the day it was made. The hype was all about how "realistic" it was, bleh.

I like how in movies, the hackers easily type 500 words per minute. I think the worst example of this was in a movie with John Travolta and there was this "elite hacker" who types so fast that the text was just scrolling off the screen.

There's also nice GUI's for hacking, and the system that you're hacking into always has a welcome screen for people who have hacked into it.

Swordfish.

And the GUI always consists of seemingly purposeless 3D objects, and their placement has to be just right... like building DNA or complex carbohydrogen chains.

OMG, righteous movie. Wargames was filmed not but a couple miles from my house when I was just a wee lad.

The funniest hacking/computer misuse is that part in Jurassic Park where the little girl says "I know this, its a unix system"

and it shows a gui.
