SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- The American Automobile Association of California said some drivers are now paying up to $5 a gallon for regular unleaded gasoline.

Crude oil prices hit an all-time high Wednesday, above $98 a barrel and analysts said with worldwide oil demand rising -- it is still not clear just how high prices will go

If you look closely, you'll notice that it's actually spelled "California." With a "C."

Please make a note of it.

Yeah... But Dennifloss paying with those amazing CANADIAN dollars, so he's probably paying like 50 cents a gallon, right? 🙂

and those canadian gallons are much bigger than american gallons, so he can basically drive his car for free

pretty much

In Canada they sell milk in 4-liter jugs. 4L > 1 gal = 3.79L.

Gas is around 3.40 here in LA. I hope it goes to 5 there are to many SUVs on the road, and I need a reason to get my wife to let me buy a motorcycle. 😉

I doubt you are the only one in that respect. If gas prices REALLY were a problem, it would be socially acceptable for people in business suits to ride to work on a Harley or Vespa or whatever. (not trying to compare the two..hehe..) Yet most of us have no option other than to sit and watch our wallets disappear when we go to the local gas station to fill the only car we can afford to drive...the only one we have already paid for. :-/

I don't mind if it goes higher. It'd help some more people wake up and realize cheap gas is long gone.

It'd also help me to rationalize a motorcycle a bit more easily 😉
