I'm no SPEC expert, but that seems really, really good:

SPEC2000 rate (peak) 2-way
Prozessor Takt SPECint_rate 2000 SPECfp_rate 2000
PPC970MP 2,5 GHz 32,3(est) 42,8(est)
Power5+ 1,9 GHz 39,6 67,6
Pentium D 3,2 GHz 32,6 32,5
Xeon Paxville 2,8 GHz 33,2 29,9
Opteron 180 2,4 GHz 37,5 34,4

Indeed.

1428 SPECint2000
2076 SPECfp2000

Why "est" ?
Presumably because IBM hasn't submitted the results to SPEC.org yet. However, even if the score dropped by say 5% on shipping hardware (not tweaked lab stuff), that'd still be damn impressive.

Hmmm... I've seen an Opteron 180/280/880 perform the same in SPECfp2000. What gives?

Nah. Nothing wrong with Macs. It's the "Mac-cult" that can be a bit stupid though... Ohh, and the general lack of hardware knowledge in the community. Atleast that's what I've gathered from a few forums. :)

Yeah, Opteron 280 SPECfp2000:

Base: 1862
Peak: 2057

So, I dunno why the 970MP gets so high for fp_rate 2000 either. Any explanations?

Heh. Note though that it's quite likely that these tests by IBM were done with a non-Mac motherboard (hence the "est" designation).
