i cant believe this crap. i saw the bag o crap for a minute at 1am. then got 8 straight minutes of ASPX error until 1:09 and i get a "sold out" message

how do these people do it? their site gets hammered how do you get an order in? 🙁

Ummmm. Am I missing something?

If you really want a bag of crap, I think that I can arrange something for a very good price. I bet the mailman would hate me, though.

I got all crap...I don't bother with woot anymore, too many people use it and staying up til 1am isn't worth it for me.

I have it as one of my Home Pages in FF so I check it every morning when I get to work. The deals aren't good enough to stay up until modnight to watch the thing change. One of my other home pages is the Daily Deal page that starts out at full price and decreases by 1% every 15 minutes throughout the day. I thnk that's just a neat idea.

Actually, they only set it up to sell half of their "bags of crap" - and combined with server problems, they decided to have another last night.

I finally got in on one.

For those who don't know, they often include some real goodies (CD stereo systems, iPods, etc...) worth a LOT more than the $8 you pay. This time they even had a nice leather bag to package the BOC around.

Last time, they gave everybody 6 "pucks" - Kensington document holders, that some returned to Staples (or someplace like that) for $5.99 each, meaning they made a bit of change on the deal - $8.00 (3x$1+$5 shipping) for the BOC - $35.94 (6x$5.99) on returned merchandise to office supply place = net profit of $27.94

Many also got the "Charge-it" brick that had 27 rechargable AA batteries. Certainly worth $8, too.

Of course, I wouldn't mind getting the iPod or other goodies, either...
