For me I'm looking forward to anything new....there is a particular game drought at the moment so any new games will do nicely quite frankly. I can't wait until Doom3 is released, which also goes for latest in the MoH series and even HL2.

But I have to draw the line with UT 2004. Now that is just more of the same UT having played the demo. But that's just my opinion. It would appear that if you one of the original Doom players you will be highly anticipating somethinjg special with regards Doom3 as the original Doom was a complete and utter blast from start to finish...:)

Your either a Quakey/Doomer or a UT'er nothing will change that. Nuff said. ;)

[edit]

Played PainKiller demo as well. The best gun has to be the Stake gun..lol...very amusing. But I never really got into Heretic so I can't see me enjoying this one for too long. :(

Meh...

Battlefield Vietnam is going to be a dressed up version of BF1942. More of the same crappy ass person to person combat, this time with helicopters. Soldner is the game to watch.

Meh....

This is the game to watch.

oh those screenshots look amazing! but how's the gameplay gonna be?

That means absolutely nothing coming from Activision. If ID themselves actually said April 15, then I would believe a May release date.

Won't know until the demo, but from what I've heard of the game it sounds pretty crappy from a deathmatch pov.

Of course it is, they have to make you pay for Quake 4 ;) based on the doom 3 engine of course.

So will d3 allow cooperative play through the levels (the way the original quake did), or is it strictly single player? If it's single player, I won't be getting it..... I prefer Empire Earth or something along those lines.

If I recall coop will not be included in D3. Very disappointing if you ask me. Especially since they are setting out to create a great "single" player campaign. It's always a lot of fun to go through these types of games together. Oh well, I'll still buy it.

Is it just me, or is that Gamespot news link dead? It just takes me to the front page, which means the news post has been pulled, plus, there is no sign of the April 15th date in the gamespace for Doom 3.
