Hopefully today is my last day on dial up, the high-speed wireless people are supposed to be out here tomorrow morning to install it (they claim it's burstable T1 speed). But then again, the last two times they said they were going to come they didn't show up. The first time, they said they'd be out here at 9am, and i said, "Ok, that should be good, my dad has to leave at 11am." The guy said that should be plenty of time. My dad waits until 11:30am and is late for an appointment. I get home, call them up, they b!tch to me about how he wasn't home, and i said "Well, if you were out here when you were supposed to be we wouldn't have this problem." He sighs and says "Well, the next time we're going to be down there is on Friday(this was 2 weeks ago). Would that be a good time?" I say yeah, my mom is going to be home. So she waits ALL day for them, they don't show up. I call them up and they said "Hm...i don't remember saying we'd be down today. We were going to come down, but nobody was scheduled. We'll be back down there a next Thursday, will you be home then?" I said yeah, i'll be home then. So i guess we'll just have to wait and see if they come this time or if i have to call them up AGAIN. I swear, if i have to call them again i will explode.

Goddam Joink.

Anyway, dialup is REALLY f'n slow.

Yeah, seems like it has always been slow, but now, just knowing that i'll be able to download a 5mb file 30x faster than what i'm on now...just makes it seem a lot more slow than before :)

Going from 500kb/sec downloads to 5kb/sec sucks. 3 weeks till I get back to college...

Shut up all of you.

I live in an area where the phone lines do not support over 28.8 connections. Bellatlantic also told me they have no plans on ever upgrading the equipment in the near future.

DSL is not avaliable and cable modems are one way only and they pretty much charge you by the meg.

So shaddup!

LordJezo, that's how I felt up until now, about the only thing available in rural Indiana is dial up :p

They do have a pretty good site design, but i bet it would load much faster with the wireless :)
