I came across Franny Franny - Smiley Dog Resuce when looking at dogs up for adoption. I was looking for a 10month-2 year housebroken dog, but I have a hard time passing this girl up.

I'd have to agree on that one.
There are a ton of dogs based in the Oakland area on Smiley Dog Resuce - I like the Smiley Dog ones from foster homes that tell you their pesonalities and stuff like that. I would have a hard time dropping a couple hundread bucks on a pure bred lab puppy (as I originally thought about) when I can save a puppy or dog and spend $200 in "adoption donation fees". Sorry I am just thinking out loud here, it just seems ATOT is quite the pet loving place and would understand.
Buying a dog on basis of cuteness alone is a recipe for disaster. If you don't properly take care of the dog and train it properly, that cute dog will quickly grow up into a big dog that will surely make your life miserable. 95% of first time dog owners have no clue regarding the responsiblity involved with taking care of the animal.
I think it means that by the time she will be available for adoption that she will be spayed/altered but at the present moment she is not.
Anyone else see anything good on smileydogrescue's site? prefer 10month-2 year housebroken dog, i like the look of labs and beagles (hound dog look i guess you could call it). prefer 25-55 pounds. And yes I know about having a dog as I have had some growing up, and yes I know not to pick it on cuteness alone....but cuteness does help.🙂
