Well I dont walk up to some random guy and speak like that. I only speak like that to people in my company, who i feel comfortable with, and when i go out to Chinese, just to be polite. Not trying to be racist or anything, just letting them know I am familiar with their culture, even if its a little bit.
But i wouldnt walk up to some chinese guy and jsut say, nee how.

As far as you speaking ebonics, not all blacks talk like that. Most chinese say, hello or thank you. But be my guest, go up to some black guys next time you are in the mall and say, yo....................................

how come? does chinese sound real bad to you? i hear english all day, and it doesnt seem to hurt my ears. although all languages do get vague. chinese people are scared of black people. at least, thats how it is around here.

My dad's side of the family speaks Chinese, but I don't speak Chinese, and it's annoying as hell to hear Chinese all day long whenever I visit them. I do love them and all, but geez... they probably find my Vietnamese annoying too, so it's all even.

i wouldn't think its racist. i'd be flattered that they're trying. when non-asians try chinese on me--i try to teach them a little more.

i guess its just indifference. chinese people usually dont really know a lot about black american culture, as they are very very different. im chinese myself, and i have a number of black friends. but ive seen around the chinese community, not hostileness, but more shyness/cautiousness with black people. heh heh.

I'm Chinese cantonese, and sometimes i have to listen to Chinese Mandarin all day, and it drives me nuts too. And Mandarin is a much better sounding language than cantonese!
