so wait a sec. If lucas does ever make 7,8,9, does he have to follow these books? or is he the one that even wrote these books.

There is a 7 8 and 9 already out there. They were written by Timothy Zahn. An excellent trilogy. If you like star wars, I highly recommend them.

Zahn's Star Wars books are the only ones I'd confidently recommend to anyone besides the original 3 books. I have Kevin J. Anderson's Jedi Academy trilogy but they don't measure up to Zahn's stuff IMHO. The other Star Wars books out there that I've read are so-so. Didn't Zahn write more Star Wars books after the first 3, or am I smoking crack?

How about both and?

"How about both and?"

Hmmmm...maybe I'm not the one smoking crack after all. ;)

If the series goes to 14 books, I hope ALL the characters die - especially Jar Jar

lol, you just got there? But yeah, I was so angry when they killed off chewbacca...and for another spoiler:

I was even more mad when Anakin died...and then I thought Jacen would die too. I was pissed.

But now everything's on the up and up, relatively, so it's all good. I love those books. damn the Vong.

Zahn wrote two more which are just as good as his first ones. They take place ten years after the end of his trilogy. I'd recommend these as well.
