My sister bought a refurb averatec laptop, and it's a sweet system, but the restore cds both say "disc 1 of 2", and averatec says I need to pay $30 for a new set of cds, plus s/h. That's f***king ghetto! I can't even use the XP key under the computer w/ some random XP CD, according to them.
 
Call and talk to the next person in the phone queue. Ask to speak to a manager. Point out that they shipped a defective/incomplete product. Be nice and polite. It will get you much further than yelling and screaming will.
 
And if all else fails, drive over there and poop on their cars. All of 'em. Might have to keep things plugged up for a while, but I have confidence you can do it. 😉

Seriously, they won't even let you send in one of the disc 2's in exchange? Really lame...
