AOL. So easy to use, no wonder it is number one!

Between the lines: Any dumbass that can find the power button on a computer can get online using AOL.

Is Internet 7.0 backwards compatible? Am I able to access AOL's new exiting Internet from older version of Internet?

I hope it has many more features. THIS internet is getting pretty old. As soon as it comes out, I will surely be one of the first to install the NEW internet in my computer. :D

I've been running AOL 7.0 Beta for about 2 months now. No major improvements except if you have Broadband. It has a few features for Broadband users. It's 6.0 with minor cosmetic tweaks. Nothing great (but it does support WinXP)

<< One of the older ladies I supervise at work kept telling me her computer was a "6.0," but she wanted to upgrade because it was too slow... I said, "No, you said your computer is a Gateway... do you have AOL? Maybe that's what you mean?"
She blinked, twice, slowly.
I just sighed and turned away, it was all I could do.
Anyhoo, it's about darn time AOL upgraded the internet *cough*

That is so sad... I'm not sure if I should cry or scream...

Never underestimate the power of stupid...

It also has the ability to invite people on AIM without AOL access into the chatroom.

Oh yeah, this is the new version that will allow tracking of web activities through the new cookies and Web bugs. I sure hope you enjoy your new version of AOL, I know all the advertisers are going to. AOLCrud

GrumpyMan, that's not surprising. To me it seems every release of that software after version 3 or thereabouts simply made it easier for AOL and its partners to ram advertising down people's throats.

Even I started out with AOL in the early 90's but I soon got tired of every single site or page that AOL put up had some kind of advertising on it. Not that advertising is bad, but to that extent it just seems excessive and abusive IMHO. I can't remember one single site or feature that AOL had that it didn't cram something onto it. Maybe it's changed but I don't know because I dropped them within a month. What ever floats your boat I suppose.
