This case seems to take new steps from the manufacturing process and may even dampen the aftermarket quieting market if other companies follow.

Totally quiet case

Anyone have any inside info or heard when this will be out or how much it will be?

It's already out to my knowledge and costs $1200.00 (I think).

Also it doesn't seem to disapate enough heat to be worth anything.

Looks cool though!

This was brought up here about a month ago. www.tomshardware.com has a full review on it.

Certainly a step in the right direction, but not something most of us mortals would call "worth the money".

Its not worth it at that price. The fanless PSU isnt efficient ennough to support the high power needs of a a high power draw PCU and video card.
Its so expensive you might as well buy a Voodoo PC Rage F-50 computer.
At least then they modify the PSU for you so it can acomodate 2gbs of memory, 9800XT, and a 3400+ athlon 64.

If people are troubled by any noise whatsoever, I have to wonder who they live with, where they live, and whether they have any home appliances at all :D My refrigerator is probably doing a solid 40dB here, and if my dishwasher didn't seem to have just tripped its circuit breaker

then it would be cranking out a good ?60dB?.

Hmmms, anyone got tips on how to reboot a dishwasher?

I'm aware of other "quiet cases" but the Lian Li uses a conventional power supply and has places for fans.

The way I understand the TNN 500A has no fans and basically no moving parts, not even a conventional power supply.

"Complete Silence

Since the TNN 500A cooling solution does not utilize fans, the system does not produce any noise. In addition, the sturdy aluminum case (5-7mm thick) blocks HDD noise to achieve completely silent computing"
