OMG! Anandtech at 640x480! I think I'm going into shock...

On a whim, I thought I'd revert my 1280x960x32 desktop on a 17" Trinitron (flatscreen 😀) back to 640x480x265colors and see how well I can do every-day tasks without running back to the back of the room to read what's on the screen...

This is horrible... :disgust:

🙂

I'm having fun playing with this stuff! 🙂

Okay, I'm switching this thing back before my eyes start spasming and I get a migraine.

And that is why I cannot do anything on the computers in my schools library. If I change the resolution to anything above 640x480 I will get suspended. The librarians run the computers, but they don't even know what resolution is. They think I am just trying to put a virus on the comps.

hey, gimme a break. I lent pretty much most of my games to my cousin because he got a new videocard for christmas. The only thing is that after that, I went from a 16meg VooDoo3 2000 to a 64meg Winfast Geforce2 Pro... and still don't have my games back.

...oh well. 🙂 AT is BEAUTIFUL.

<< I'll stick to 1600x1200! 😀 >>

I have to get a new monitor. This one goes up to 1280x1024, but it's screwed up. 1280x960 with the viewable area shrunk down as much as possible is the only resolution that won't display off of the screen. Even then, everything's all twisted. If I go from a black screen to a white screen, the viewable area enlarges. It's like it's getting magnified or something. The screen edges bend and flex when I move windowed programs around on it. I don't know what happened, but it's getting steadily worse over time.

forget fixing this one, I'm gonna buy a 19" or 21".

<< Save for the plasma screen dude 😉

The one I want is about an inch thick, hangs on the wall, etc., and is around $8,000

:Q 🙁
