Drive up through Minnesota, across the Everest pass, down through the Keys and then east back to LA.

Your rental floats right?

good god, I'm considering driving down the 515 to the 95 to the 10 back to Santa Ana and eventually to LA.

I HATE driving to/from Coachella valley.

Barstow/247 is pretty short detour. You could also just take the pearlblossum hwy from victorville to the 14, and then the 14 to the 5 missing Cajon and Tejon completely.

So I ran a bunch of simu's through google maps and the detour through the back of big bear is the fastest @6 hours

If you don't hear from me tomorrow, you'll know what happened.

Where in LA are you heading? 14 should be faster unless your heading to orange county/riverside/ontario areas.

God, I swear none of you can read a map. He's not going to big bear, he's talking about going AROUND big bear on the 247 then down to the 10.

The storm is suppose to be gone by midweek, so anything thursday through the weekend should be fine. Of course since I posted this the weather will change just to make me wrong.
