my favorite one of these moments, was when that small town--I think somewhere in japan? was transporting a dead beached grey whale through the town on a flatbed. They made an event out of it--sort of a small parade and most of the town showed up to watch this.

Inevitably, the gas from the bacteria munching on that whale built up to the point where, like in the OP, it just had to GTFO.....spraying the entire town with grossness as it drove through.

OK, here is one--not the one that I remember, or I may have just misremembered how it went down

I know.

like I said, from what I recall--at least, how the story was told to me. That clip is indeed from Taiwan.

pfft, same difference, anyway.

But the one that they blew up with dynamite is still the best exploding whale story and video. :D

I had the misfortune of having to help someone relocate a dead dolphin once. It had been broiling in the Floridian sun for 3 or 4 days. There was no explosion with chunks and fluids everywhere, but the smell was so bad I was seriously getting light headed and feeling the 'might puke soon' vibe from my guts. I believe I threw away the T shirt I was wearing at the time.

I watched that clip and my first thought was "that poor bastard." Hope he packed his nose with Vicks Vaporub like a forensics examiner or mortician. I sure as hell would have.

Japanese would see that and be sad, not jealous. Whole lot of whale sashimi there. It'd be like an American seeing a mature, plump Angus steer that was killed by a car about to be relocated with a chainsaw.



Didn't see any tentacles in that clip, so I think hentai might be pushin it. ;)
