Umm... The fact that this has even crossed your mind shows that you're doing ENTIRELY TOO MUCH thinking with the wrong head.

First off, is this a so-called Skoorb effect thread? It sounds a lot like it, for the ScottyB pic that I see is far from someone who has never kissed someone and was traumatised.

But supposing it isn't, then, ScottyB, I've never been so sure of girl situation questions on this forums as I am of your situation. Dude . . . I mean, ScottyB, that chick wants ya! LOL!

Seriously, check this out: I remember in my Technical Writing class, I met this guy . . . he was so good-looking to me. I started to talk to him. And then he sat right next to where I sat. I would dress seductively, having the nice body that I have (thus making clothes look great on me).

Then I started to notice by the next week that this guy was no where to be found where he used to sit. He came to class later than I did, so I thought the first time that it was just because seats were occupied and he didn't want to bug the class, since he was a little late.

Well, came another day and he found himself another seat closer but never next to me like before. LMAO. Whilst my professor was lecturing, I would be having one eye on him and daydreaming. Well, this guy was also a tutor (for mathematics) and I had friends who tutored there too. So, I would walk down there and hang out with my female friends and try all I could to chat with this guy. And then occasionally, I would walk with him to the tutoring session. So, one day, I asked him if I could ask a question. Of course I did ask him: Did you move from your seat because of me . . . like to stay away from me? He's all, "no."

To make the long story short, on one occasion I visited him and talked about having private lessons with him to . . . you know, help me with a couple of essays. I didn't even do bad at all in the course. He said okay . . . he seemed shocked. Well, one day, I was escorting him to his dorm and during the process of our conversation he revealed that he had a gf. Damn! I knew it was time to end it. LOL! He even told me how he met his gf.

So, see, I'm the aggressive type when I'm interested in a guy. But I never outrightly ask him out. I just show all signs that I'm interested and wait for him to ask me out. That's the guy thing, you know . . . I mean what I expect the guy to do.

In this case, I assume you aren't taken already, so you better ask that girl out, damn it! :D She may become disinterested, as I eventually did in the cited case (didn't think that he was all that anymore; and who knows if he made up that gf story; though it sounded genuine). However, for now, she's interested in you.

*On the one hand, I'm hoping that ScottyB isn't fooling us. On the other hand, I'm hoping that this isn't for real.*

That would be even more pathetic than if this thread is true, but not by much.

This is you ?

You look a lot older than 19, and you don't look like someone who's never been on a date either.

Regardless, it probably wouldn't hurt to lose the neck warrior shirt.

Fat is hard to lose though, for me at least, because it makes me depressed and when I am depressed I eat and so on......... I must be mental or something. :p

here is th link from long ago when I first lost the weight. LINK I lost 80 lbs there and have gained about 60 back so I am not as fat as I used to be, but still somewhat fat.

Wow! Congrats on the weight loss. What a difference today makes. :p Seriously though, your newer picture hides the guy who could have been teased. You look far from the teased guy.

In any case, I suppose your story in the original post is for real. As I said, ask her out. Maybe you can go for coffee with her (if she doesn't mind that, otherwise find something else she would like). Coffee is a neutral way to get to know someone and if there's an actual spark. If there isn't any, then you have nothing to lose.

Hope things work out for ya! ;)

P.S.: You do look a lot older than your professed age. I remember seeing your pic last year. I always thought that you were in your twenties. I guess some people just look older sometimes. I've never been good at guessing people's ages, anyway.

Not you, everyone thinks I am old. People try to sell me alcohol at business and I have also had freshman ask me to buy them beer.

Talk with her. :) Shrug, its tough to tell if she's interested. But if you get to know her, you'll figure out her intentions soon enough.. and what the hell, even if you end up in the friend zone, a new friend is better than nothing.

I would suggest that you ask her out to study at the library sometime or out for coffee. Its a nice "safe" outing where you can get to know the person a little better and make some small talk. Don't panic over what you are going to say to her. I have done that in the past where I got all worked up trying to have every possibility covered that I froze up when the time came. As hard as it sounds, just try to be yourself and talk to the girl. Thats half the battle because most guys can't even get up the nerve. I remember that I used to get so pissed at myself for chickening out when talking to girls and I realized that I was missing out on meeting some great people. I still occasionally have to force myself to go up and talk to people but if you are confident or act confident people will like you as well. The worst thing she can do is say no. As long as you don't do anything stupid like "whipping it out and saying, 'well, it's not gonna suck itself' " you should be just fine. If she says no don't take it as the end of the world. Babe Ruth hit a ton of home runs and also led the league in Strike Outs. You are gonna screw up with women every now and then, but learn from your mistakes and move on. Good luck son! Go get her! ;)

well this is easy, start by asking her about a hw assignment or ask her if she wants to get together and study for the next quiz or do hw together.

after you get to know her better and have formed a study partner with her one day while you're studying together be like "hey i'm hungry...wanna grab something to eat?"

this leads to activities other than studying :p i'm sure you can take it from there. :)

that's what i'm doing... but i don't think my girl has any interest in me other than as friends.. s'all good though.. she's still fun to study/do homework with

Well, if you like her say something like "Would you like to have a cup of coffee or something?".

OK, first off, if she's being friendly great! Don't start stalking her and trying to get some. Just be her friend, what eveolves....evolves. Besides, she'll have friends too, so just beocme part of her inner circle the willy action will come later.

Good luck.

OH MY GOD! That is the best idea ever. You get to miss class ... and get laid!!!

RANDOM RANT BELOW:
I screwed up several times in college. The one time I asked about a girls friend that I also knew and she was dating some guy that I wasn't aware of. Turns out the girl I had ask might have had a crush on me. DOH. Both girls were hot.

Then the time at the bar when the hot bar tender wanted to meet me. She was THE hot student at my college (going after her masters in business). The way it worked is my friend knew her, so at the bar he says, "hey this is Amy(or whatever her name was)", I said hi, sat down, my friend immediately left and this girl kept talking to her room mate? I was like WTF after 5 minutes and left. Next day my friend says, what happened with Amy? He knew I left. I kinda had a "like whatcha talking about?" look on my face, then it hit me. I F'd up. Copincidentally, she was looking for a bf, because about a month later, I saw her with her bf.

man, I wish I could college over again. Then again, I'm engaged now and happy with my fiance.
