I am studying abroad in japan and last weekend I went to a English Camp for a bunch of Japanese Highschoolers. I would say 90% of them were girls. I got paid 200 bucks for something i would do for free anyway so i cant really complain but damn...Japanese Highschoolers are crazy.
1. They are a mixed bag compared to American 16 year olds. They act a lot younger then they actually are, they look like they are 12 and yet they do some things most parents in america would not approve. I dont know i havent been to a highschool in the US in a while but 2 of the girls slapped in the butt and said sexy hip. How do you react to that? Mostly wtf your 15. another girl that looked like she was 11 kept saying Sexy, naughty bitch. I dont think she had any idea what it ment but still lol! One girl had a video of her dancing on her cell phone(amazing cell phone...great great quaility video) in ways a 15 year old should not be doing. For freakin 3 days i didnt see a grown woman and when i first saw one at the trainstation i was like..."THANK YOU GOD"
2. They will sing Kareoke for 4 HOURS on a bus ride home(yes the bus is equipped with a machine, with mic jacks every 2 seats or so) They all scream together, at the exact same time, Scream everytime a song comes on, and chant at just the right times. This was cool for the first hour..they even had us sing some american songs...but after 4 hours I wanted to kill myself. I had gotten sick that morning and wow..that was not helping. Interestingly the guys are the ones who actually sang most of the songs with the girls singing backup to the chorus and such.
3. They love pics...holy hell I think i got my pic taken more last weekend then I Have in my entire life. For a day i knew what it felt like to be a star and not be able to walk down a hallway without numerous people stopping you to take a pic.
4. The guys are really really really quite. I tried talking to them but they mostly just talk among themselves, except for a few.
5...They still cant say grass or glass and make them sound diffrent
