GJ man, glad to hear someone actually thinning down through the good ol "stop eating so much junk" diet.

ATKINS FOOLISHNESS here. Went from 225 to 175 mostly in the first 4-6 months (going on 2 years now). Carb intake is up to about 75-80 grams/day. I'm now up to 188 since starting back to the gym.

and yes I'm allowed to eat bread, drink juice, blah blah blah. You know all the stuff I supposedly not able to eat.

i'm out of shape... kinda the skinny fat guy at 6'2" 215 or so... my weight fluctuates from 205-215. if i suck it in just enough and hold it, i look like i *might* be in shape. i wish i could get more icetime.

 good job!

as for me, i'm not doing so well...i was 190 (5'8'') not too long ago. i'm now 180. my goal is 165.

good job
i got down to 160 from 220
back up to 165 now (too busy with work 🙁 ) need to start working out soon

More ATKINS FOOLISHNESS here. Went from 317 in 10/03 to 208 currently. Hate on it if you want, but it is the only diet I've ever tried that actually worked.

Yeah I would like to see that too. 50 lbs in 3 months is very fast, congrats 😎

I also weighed 245. But then I did atkins and now I'm 190. So Atkins works and you're a fatty! 😉

That and it's great to have a gym at work. As of friday, I was able to bench my body weight.

Hey guys,
You were wondering how I lost weight so quickly?

Here is the rundown.

Middle of november: Me and my wife were having problems(no fights, we just grew apart), so we decide to get a divorce. I knew it was the only way, but it knocked me down pretty good. I did not eat for three days straight, and I lost 10 pounds(not eating was not a choice, I was just to upset to eat).
I was at 235 by that time, so I figured, what the hell, I might as well eat right and exercise and lose more weight, but I wanted to do it the "right way". I started eating fruits and vegetables, and I stopped drinking sodas and tea(I basically stopped drinking anything that was not water) completely. I eat about 4-6 times a day, but I eat low fat foods. I was looking to boost my metabolism, and apparently it worked. What do I eat? Lean pockets, fat free bologna sandwiches, grilled chicken breasts, fat free cheese, grapes, grapefruit , carrots, spinach salad, salad, and I use non fat dressings, like blue cheese and ranch, etc, etc.
Also, I started eating when I woke up(I guess you could say "breakfast, but I uasually wake up at 2pm to get ready for work). That first meal is important. Also, I schedule one day a week where I "blow it up" meaning I eat what ever I want (usually steak) for that day, I don't go to crazy, but I eat things I usually would not becuase they are to fattening. I do not eat as much red meat as I used to, and that may have helped.I drink about 15 glasses of water or more a day. Also, cut out salt, as it will cause water retention(not really bad, but in the first few weeks, you want to see results when you hit the scale, and water retention does not help that AT ALL.) See for me a "diet" is a change in what you eat, not how much you eat. Oh, and eating directly before bed should be avoided at all costs.

Now, about exercise.
I am an assistant manager at a full service restaraunt, so I walk ALOT. I am lucky in this regard, because I get alot of exercise @work. I found a ton of things to do at work to burn extra calories. They are small things, but they add up over time. Outside of work, I do about 500 crunches per night. I usaully take one day off per week from the crunches also. I make it a point to park far away when going to the grocery store, I take stairs instead of the elevator, etc. That about sums up the exercise(although I will join a gym when I move in a month, then the fun will start.

I hope I provided you with some useful info, if you have any other questions ask away. I think it would be awesome to track my weight loss with someone else..

yup i'm a fatazz here also I way about 6'2 300, and bascally built like an NFL offensive lineman (lots of muscle but also lots of fat over it, in retro spec I was pretty good as a lineman in HS also...maybe I should of stuck with it and I could be making the big bucks for being a fatazz.

hopefully this summer I'll make another run at losing the weight if I fail this time I might look at other methods of loosing the wrieght such as sugery or something.

Holy crap 500 crunches?! My line of work REQUIRES me to keep my gut in check and I don't think I could do anywhere NEAR 500 so kudos to you my man.

On a side note, I personally get pretty aggravating back pain when I do sit ups or crunches. Otherwise I have no back troubles. I'm about 75", 190, kinda-sorta decent shape so I don't really understand why no else complains of this. Anybody have any thoughts?

Are you a bouncer or a Navy Seal?

No, you'd laugh if told based on the context of my prior post. 😀 Let's just say the safety of the masses are not in jeoprady if belly fat starts to push.

It rhymes with Nair Horse.

If I don't stretch beforehand, my lower back will ache a little bit. Do you stretch before you work out?

britney did that much

Eating healthy, went from 150 to 170. Hoping some of it's muscles as it went this way since I started playing Volleyball 2-3 times a week.

I did 27.93 miles on the bike today. I'm not getting any lighter, but my legs are certainly getting stronger, which matters more to me anyway. 5'11", right around 200lbs.
