I now weigh 195 lbs! I have not been under 200 lbs in 5 years. I feel wonderful.
I was previously 245 lbs. 2 months later I am @ 195!
All hard work and eating properly, I would like to add.

So, how has your diet or whatever you want to call it been going?

EDIT: I DO NOT WANT TO HEAR OF ANY ATKINS FOOLISHNESS. (yes I realize that a select few have been told to do the atkins diet by their doctor, but most people have not been told by a doctor)

UPDATE:Woot, I am now @ 180!

i only weigh 155...so any diet for me would be to fatten my skinny ass up! my gf has been making me excercise with her a lot lately though...its aight...usually shes horny by the time we're done so it works out ok 😀

Atkins here! I'm around 200-220. I hope to be 180.

Day 2.

When I did Atkins before I lost 40 pounds. I stopped and 1 year later I gained it all back.

I eat whatever I want and can control my weight quite easily. I suppose this is due to my quite high metabolism. This is not to say that I could eat forever and never gain weight, I do proper excercise and such.

5'-10" and currently 148lbs, 19yrs old.

Sad to hear that, this is why I hate the atkins diet. IT DOES NOT INCREASE METABOLISM.

diet alone cannot increase metabolism any significant amount, can it?

isnt that why it is called diet and excercise?

edit: i do know that easting less decreases your metab, and eating more increases it....supposedly

Indeed, but you have to eat a balanced diet. The word diet to me at least means a change in what you eat, not how much you eat.

Also, I started doing little things like parking a ways from the store, and I found ways to burn extra calories at work.

5"11 170. moderate workouts every 2-3 days or so.. i just don't eat to excess...whatever it is. try not to skip exersize, works pretty ok.

Two years and three months ago I looked in the mirror and saw a chubby lump of goo. I had quit smoking a couple years earlier and the pounds just came on like a comfortable coat.

I decided it was time to do something about it. I weighed myself, and found I was 210 lbs.

Two years later, I'm 205 lbs.

BUT

My waist was a 35, and is now a 32. My body fat is now between 10 and 15%.

Why diet and lose weight when you can just build muscle? 😛

Seriously, though, I did a lot of running and cardio to burn the fat. But along the way I found I liked lifting weights AND I really liked the results.

So my story is about how you can not lose any weight, but still make yourself look and feel great. 😀

You wouldn't care to detail out exactly what you've been eating / drinking per day, as well as your workout schedule + activities, would you?

Congrats Wanescotting! I am on the same track as you, only my original weight was 270lbs. I am now 235lbs. It took me 10 months to lose 35lbs. though. I'd have lost more but I took the month of Dec. and the first week of Jan. off and enjoyed life and put 10lbs. back on.

My goal is to be at 220lbs. on June 1 so I'll be ready for the beach and Ocean Breeze waterpark. 😎

avoid drinking calories. food is more filling..satisfying. try to drink more water...it helps.. googleit
avoid hard rules though..u need some flex or u will give up😉

I agree with ^^^. I do try to fill up with water when I start to feel hungry though. Actually, all told, I drink about a gallon of water per day.

*runs to go pee*

south beach seems to work but i wouldn't want to sacrifice so much... basically no carb and no sugar for a week then gradual slightly more carb and sugar... but the diet is stright

my co-worker lost 20 lbs in a month. he's keeping it so far.

so how did you do it Wanescotting? I'm 235lbs now and 6'1". I would like to get below 200 but I'm a lazyass. Any cure for that?

i was about 160 a year and a half ago.

im now 185 pounds.

a year ago i became a software engineer.

but , unlike what you'd expect i decided when i started at the software company that i would stay in shape and not turn fat. so i actually went to the gym for a year and gained 25 pounds of muscle and lost weight. for this year i am just not drinking processed sugars, and its been helping me get even leaner.
