Even though I only get A's on all my papers, right. 🙄 Obviously, I'm horrible at writing even though if I had one English related mistake in many of my papers I'd automatically get docked a whole letter grade.

Who cares if you get A's on your papers? It's probably because that's the only letter your teacher remembers how to write.

Another thing you don't seem to understand is that your "academic papers" aren't meant to teach you how to write a paper. They teach you how to properly communicate. Don't be retarded. Make an effort in everything you do, including written communication. Get it right or just don't fucking bother.

They were so unhappy with the teacher because the teacher told them that they could not tell made up stories without saying they're made up or say claims without a source. They got all unhappy and their panties in a bunch. There is more stupid shit like that (i.e. making up shit because it's "common knowledge."). Final presentation... they keep trying to fuck shit up because they do not understand how arguments or logic works.

Without going back through the rest of this thread... Is this a class where the writing matters, or where the information being written about matters?

If it's about the writing itself (and the logic behind it), then fucking make up sources if you have to and properly "cite" them. Don't waste your time doing real research that's pointless because it's not like the professor is going to check your sources.

On the other hand, if this is a group research paper and the information being presented is important, then you guys had better get moving.

That's strange your professor would apply a bell curve to every single paper :hmm:

(letter grades indicate that the marks have been put on a curve, otherwise you would get a raw score like 91/100)

A bell curve would indicate then that I wrote one of the best papers in the class to get that A then... If I wrote an average paper I'd get a C.

When I say an A, I mean an A and not an A-. (93%+)
