What is sad is that the situation will not change when you leave school. You'll still have to work in groups packed with deadbeats/incompetents and your paycheck will depend on your ability to produce in spite of them.

I think the OP is said deadbeat frankly. Given this person's attitude and overall banal complaints, I cannot see this person succeeding as they are now.


But I always believe in being able to change oneself, it isn't conforming (just reflects how much of a fail teachers are in public schools) it's getting your head on straight. If you don't want to "conform" don't expect society to accept you.

you remind me of a very creepy socially-troubled kid that was in my CCNA program in high school. Actually, there were a couple - seems to be common in the IT industry.

Dude, that non native speaker can probably write better then anyone you know as they were actually taught how to properly write in English(they have to also pass a proficiency test to go to school here), and not just what passes for English here.

One of the people doesn't have English as their native language, so obviously I give them slack, but the others are native and WTF. WHY DO PEOPLE SUCK SO MUCH?! UGH! They're STUPID, BAD WRITERS, OVERLY EMOTIONAL, and UNCREATIVE. >.< I don't want to pick up their slack either because that's what I do for EVERYONE else and that's NOT working in a group. I hate people who are so emotionally charged(AKA go crazy when they don't get what they want) while in groups too, and these people are that.

Sigh.

I wrote out a lot, and then somehow I hit ctrl and something and then PWOOF. All gone.

Anyway, the group wrote a paper. These 2 people in my group did. Not a good paper, not good at all. Really bad actually. It's too short, has all kinds of issues, and the wrong god damn font. Seriously, they CHANGED the font to the wrong one. I know this because I had shit written out already in the CORRECT font in the fucking file for them. So they HAD to change it because they're fucktards. Now, if you apply their logic about fonts to everything in the English language... You have the paper. Don't understand? What I mean is: IT'S ALL WRONG.

Now you ask: Well, why did you let them write the paper?
Some response: 6 people in the group. 6 people trying to write a paper and all of whom have a very different idea on HOW it should be written. (5 of which are wrong) We have foreign exchange student who is silent about everything and can't write; we have a girl who wants to take complete control of the paper and write it herself, but she too cannot write for a damn; we have another girl who is somewhat complacent with the whole thing and no clue about her quality of work; we have two people who cannot write(as evident now) and cannot make rational decisions to save their lives(this is one of those times where you have to take my word, because I'll blow your mind later if I tell you); and me, the guy who has only received A's on all of his papers(I have mastered the art of troll-speak for forums, yo). We're all fighting over how it should be written; we're all trying to get somewhere but the group being the bitches they be, they all have to talk while we're trying to write and refuse to all come together to think about it. It's also really hard to write a paper from scratch with 6 people(We were supposed to have about 6 pages of shit written out already, but people didn't do their homework. I did mine...). So, after about 1 hour of trying the group decides to just give the work to these two people. These two people, together, create a paper on Friday.

I got this paper yesterday. I looked at the title page and went, "Uh oh." Scrolled down to the next page, "Oh god..." Scrolled down more, "FUUUUUUUCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!"
 
If you are so great then do the whole thing yourself, right now. Its only 6 pages. And boot the other 5 people from your group.
