It was a VERY close game. The final minutes, both teams traded 3's over and over to regain the lead. And at the end Horry shot a 3 to lead by 2. Finley got the last 3 but missed!!! It felt like it was the final game of the playoff.

Justa thought: Laker's played relatively consistent basketball the entire game (small dip at start of Q2).Nnothing really exceptional except the clutch 3's at the end. Yet the Mavs honestly played their hearts out, kinda maxed out. So as long as the Lakers don't go suckage, they can readily beat the Mavs.

Oh, and did anyone note the inordinate amount of uncalled moving screens by the Mavs? I was like, WTF!!! the entire game.

Anyway, time to anxiosly await the Tuesday night thrilla in Dallas.
 
Well Horry played EXCEPTIONALLY well tonight. I attribute the win to Horry. Hopefully he can do this everynight. With Fisher and Fox playing more consistently also, 1 word: THREEPEAT!!!!
 
The funny thing is, how do the Mavs even prepare for the Lakers on Tuesday? The Lakers beat them at their game tonight.
 
Fun game if your a Lake fan. Thing is, we didn't really play that well...again.

What are you talking about? The Lakers are on top, and last time I checked, they were the two-time defending NBA Champions. You know the last time the Mavs beat the Lakers in LA? December 12, 1990. That's 12 years. And tell me, how did I trash the Mavs in this thread? By pointing out the Lakers beat them at their own game? The Mavs are a three point shooting team, and got beat in a three point shooting contest. That isn't trashing them, that's fact.
 
Grrrrr.... SOOO CLOSE!! Ah well, I have hope since our biggest weapon had a subpar nite (Dirk) yet we were still 5 inches from winning the game. I look forward to Tuesday's rematch in Dallas.
