OMFG: Taxes arn't so bad. Go me!

Well, going over Turbo Tax. I'm having a hard time beliving the numbers I am getting.

Sparing the details ...
pre-deductions, I had a $3,000 return.

After deductions....$5,000!

Time to change my withholding for my paycheck 😉

The good news. I can invest that $5K!

EDIT: Yes, I intend to review everything after I'm done with Turbo Tax. I want to make sure I didn't mess up. I do this every year though, even when I owe 😉

but anywayz,

Thanks for the thumb. I was half expecting a cookie.

I only give investing advice 😉 Invest in low risk, high yield issues.

if youre getting 5 grand back then you're taking too much out of your paycheck. maybe its just me, but i dont lend my money for free to anyone...that includes uncle sam...and i can make more use of it in my paycheck. i try to adjust my w4 to where i can get back 200 or less.

I love it when people are so excited that they gave the government a tax free loan for the last 12-16 months.

Some people don't hate their country as much as you, communist. :disgust:

I can assure you that not desiring to overpay your taxes does not make you a communist.

If he doesn't like paying heavy taxes, then he wouldn't be a very good communist, would he?
