I have sensitive skin, and my neck gets irritated very easily. I now use a Norelco Quadra Action electric razor that costs me a small fortune. I am pleased with the close shave it provides, yet doesn't maul my skin.

I use the Mach3 when I'm in a hurry, but when I want a really close shave I whip out my trusty Buck knife. I have to be more careful, but it cuts the whiskers off a lot deeper.

Did anyone else have this happen? Gillette sent every male I know a razor in the mail. Around when I turned 18. Now we figure since we have the razor, might as well stick with it and buy the mad expensive cartraiges.

I deem the one of the best marketing ploys I have EVER seen.

When I start the last blade in the pack, I call a 1-800 # and they send a new 5 pack by overnight mail. They also send me a $10 check each time I start a new pack of blades.

My contribution is to rate each shave 1 to 5 on a calendar thing they give me then return the used blade (and it's calendar) to them in pre-paid envelopes they supply.

A mach3 blades lasts me about a week and a half to two weeks and I shave daily, but this is probably cause I shave in the shower so my face is really moist when I do so. Mach3 is one of the greatest human inventions. Using this razor for over 2 years now and there has NEVER been a cut, NEVER been any irritations at ALL, and my skin has never felt dry or stretched or anything else like that. I'm gonna have to give these new blades a whirl.

BTW I use it with Gillette Shaving Gel (for sensitive skin kind), you only need to use a tiny tiny bit of it or else you just waste half of it on your hands. Typically a bottle lasts a month and I usually pay $3.50CDN a bottle or less if I buy it in 3-packs at costco or something.

Mach 3 is good but damn the blades are a ripoff! I use disposables now.

I am currently using Braun Synchro for daily shaves and my old Mach 3 once a week for a cleaner shave and to get the few stubborn whiskers my Synchro refuses to cut. I may try this new one now that I am almost out of blades for my Mach 3.
