The blizzard in Boston canceled school and a lot of people didn't go to work. Snow is up to the car's windshield. Some cars were buried in snow and you couldn't tell if the car is under there or if it is a mountian. took 20 minutes to move the car. Stupid front wheel drive.

I don't think people choose to live in those climates, they just do.

Anyway, the car's not so weak that it couldn't break free of the ice. As I said, I was being a bit dumb, of course the wheel's were spinning. Yes, they were initially covered in ice and frozen to the road, but after I first tried to get out all of that broke off right away. After that it was just spinning in place. Reversing got me out. Afterwards there were grooves in the ice where I was at.

Now the municipality is doing what you'd expect, nothing at all. Today the temperatue was in the 20s, plenty warm enough for salt to work, and they did nothing, just left it closed off. Now it requires doing a three-point turn to get out of where I'm at to drive down the road in the other direction, every time I want to leave the house (see it in 7).

So what do you think would cause this in the first place? There is no water line break in the area.
