Agreed 100%.
Now, with that said, I've read the posts that said "Try wearing Yankee gear in Boston, you'll be killed, blah blah blah".
I was at the Yankee/Red Sox game this past Saturday, with my girlfriend who's a Yankee fan. She was wearing Yankee jersey and hat, along with her Yankee purse. Nobody said one thing to her. In fact, in my section, section 27, I'd say it was about 20% Yankee fans. Sure, we'd give them hell when they cheered, but it was all light natured and in good fun. Nothing physical whatsoever happened at all, throughout the whole game, in any section, from what I saw. Even after the game ended, and yes, the Yankees won, everyone was respectful of each other outside of Fenway.
I'm sure there are confrontations that happen, but what's not being said is how it's instigated, and who's really at fault. I've never seen anyone go up to anyone else and start sh!t without provocation first. Nobody in Boston goes up to anyone wearing a different teams colors and punches them, or beats their dog, etc. Get a clue.
