if he is the boston redsox pitcher (as someone previously said in this thread), why doesn't he have fast enough reflexes to catch the ball?![]()

Are you seriously asking this question? Do you have any idea how fast that ball is coming off the bat? The pitcher is only 65 feet from the batters box. He has less than a second to dodge/react. I know you're a female and all, but that is an absolutely retarded question about reflexes.

The ball caromed off the back of Clement's head just behind his ear into short left field for an RBI single.

Agreed. They took him off on a stretcher. :QOriginally posted by: ArtVandalay
Yikes, hope he's ok. And I'm a Yankees fan, but at the end of the day it's just a game.

ST. PETERSBURG -- Boston right-hander Matt Clement was struck with a line drive by Carl Crawford with one out in the bottom of the third in the Red Sox-Devil Rays game at Tropicana Field on Monday night.
The drive appeared to glance off Clement's head and he was taken from the field by stretcher. He left the field on a stretcher and was taken to nearby Bayfront Medical Center. No details of his condition are available at this time.
