yeah i didn't care for it myself. not to mention the "glasses" didn't fit very well over my glasses.

but in a few years it should be pretty good

Uh... couldn't you just not watch them in 3D if you don't want to? Do you live in some kind of country where your overlords force you to go to 3D cinema concentration camp?

^^ Sarcasm ^^ (meaning my original post was meant sarcastically)

I'll always opt for the 2D version. Speak with your dollars, hollywood will listen ... to the majority.
:hmm: Now that you say it, the sarcasm is obvious.

i want 3D sunglasses to go with my HD sunglasses.

also that mouthwash looks like a big bottle of cum. that's not appealing.

I can't see it anyway so I opt for the 2D choice.. but it's rare that I bother with the theatre for anything anymore so it's really a non-point for me.

Saw Alice in Wonderland in 3D. It was ok, they didn't do anything over the top. But I would much rather see 2D. Fortunately our local theater doesn't support 3D.

All you haters, vote with your wallets and go to the 2D theaters.

I dont like 3D either and i hope people vote with their wallets and Hollywood gives up on it. Avatar was way to blurry in the background to be enjoyed for me. My 2D blu-ray is a much better picture and experience.

Yea, I lived across the street from a 3D Imax last year and got ridiculously cheap tickets through work, so I went to a few movies...and absolutely hated them. I'll drive the 20 miles to a non-3D imax and pay full price for the ticket before putting myself through that garbage again.

It is? Every 3D movie I've seen playing at cinemas is offered in 2D as well.

unfortunately the 2D version is usually on a smaller screen with not as good sound system.

that said i hope 3D TVs are a royal flop. i don't think 3D in movies is going to go away for a while because everyone out there will be chasing avatar for a few years.

I can't wait for the autostereoscopic screens to get cheap. Glasses suck, but non glasses + 40+ different views so that you can look around the object by moving around is amazing.

I got dizzy watching Avatar in 3d, and it didn't really look that 3d to me, maybe my eyes are fuct 🙁

Don't care for 3D so as long as they continue to sell 2D version, I'm fine. If someone wants to spend the money on 3D setup, it's their prerogative. I do have a problem if they start releasing 3D only because that would mean tons of upgrade for me and I do not want to do it.

Seriously, if I see one more movie that says 'in 3d' Im going to punch my dog. The cute one.

Outside of Avatar there has never been one movie I actually enjoyed being in 3d. Is there really this much of a demand for 3d movies or is this shit just being forced on us?

First, I'm not sure why seeing a commercial would piss you off so badly.

Second, what movies other than Avatar did you see in 3D and what about the 3D experience in those movies made you hate 3D so much but not mind it in Avatar?

There's almost always a non-3D version of the movie showing. If you don't like it, don't keep seeing them in 3D.

This. Heck, I'll take it a step further. I have NEVER been to a theater that offered a 3D movie but did not offer the 2D version as well. If any of you are experiencing this problem then you need to bitch at your local theater management and not at the internet.
