I still think it is really funny stuff but
heres what someone thought on another message board:
That's really cheesy, I've seen lots of things die due to too much voltage, that would never happen. I don't know exactly what they did, but it was lame. A doctored up cpuz screenie and and a firecracker maybe? 4v, that chip would have burst from the core, and smoked with or without the heatsink. What a waste of bandwidth, I thought it would at least be entertaining. I don't know why people would even try to pass that off as if it actually happened. I thought maybe they actually did overvolt the chip until it blew up. Behold the power of cheese.

I agree, especially with the other video of a P4 doing exactly the same thing. The LED on the mobo (if there was one) wasn't on, nor did the mobos warp from heat, and on both videos the CPU fan wasn't on, nor was it clear if the VGA out was connected to that monitor or not.
I think there was a hole in the table, with fireworks put into it.
This is especially obvious in the one where there is smoke coming from under the table prior to the explosion, yet the CPU cores and surrouding areas have no visible heat damage. Plus, all of them blowing an identical hole in the same table? Ha.
Plus to suggest that extra voltage would cause this is stupid, since nothing would explode, nor would 4-5V be able to do anything like this. A fire, possibly, but an explosion? Not without some help in the form of explosives.
Lame.
EDIT: Perhaps the biggest giveaway is that the dude takes the heatsink off with his fingers, even though the fan is broken. Unplug the fan on your proc, watch it hit 70-80C and then try grabbing the heatsink with your fingers; you'd get blisters.
