Wow....car junk emailed me back:

<< I find your msg rude and presumptuous. You clearly have no idea of my intentions nor of my ability
to read an auction thoroughly.

You're intent all the while good, comes across a bit sarcastic and if it werent for the "starving
children" comment i probably would have just tossed it.

I suppose if i was "grown up" enough to make the bid, then im "grown up" enough to make the
decision to keep the bid.

Thank you for your unnecessary concern.

oh.. and its ridiculous.. not rediculous.

You guys were right...maybe I should have left them be so they can learn their own lesson; telling them would only piss them off because they won't want to admit their stupidity. And she's right, I am presumptuous; but then again, I was there when people bought X-Box boxes, I also don't see why people would play $100 for a list of crap, and lastly, looking at the bid retractions tells me people really are dumb enough to buy something like this. That's why I think she's BSing me. And she's taking out her frustrations on me, even making fun of my spelling when you cannot discern the difference between "you're" and "your."

Well, I replied to that ungrateful woman:

<< Let me guess, you paid the guy with your hard-earned money, you were happy with your purchase since you thought you got an awesome deal for an X-Box & PS2 for $100; suddenly, you see an email bearing the bad news and you take out your frustrations on the author of that email.

Or maybe you're a friend of the depraved seller and you're making fake bids to make the auction more attractive so people wouldn't hestitate to buy that list of crap.

Either way, I find it hard to believe anyone would fork out $100 for a list of wholesalers, unless there were so naive that they didn't read the whole auction carefully.

One of the biggest lessons that I've learned in life is to never underestimate the amount of someone's stupidity. That's why I thought it plausible that people would greedily buy a list of wholesalers for $100. Apparently, that lesson is justified because people have bought an X-Box Box for $300+ and also, look at the bid history of this auction, you'll see a handful of bid retractions. Lucky for them, they were able to retract their bid before you did.

And if you're a friend of that idiot seller, helping him to inflate his auction, then you're just as depraved and sadly pathetic. The bidders were probably parents looking to buy presents for their 11 year old sons. Congratulations, hope you feel pretty good about yourself.

Oh, and by the way, "you're" is a contraction for "you are"; "your" is possessive. If YOU'RE (see? this is an example of correct usage) going to insult my spelling, don't make yourself look dumb (well, your bid to that auction already did that) by making simple grammatical/spelling mistakes yourself.

- Sympathetic EBayer who's frankly annoyed at naive people who vent their anger and frustration at someone else trying to help.

Have a nice day.

Blah, what a joke. I'd pay at most a dollar for a list like that. Probably end up wasting my dollar too. :(

I agree with tm37, what if the person was planning on opening a business and was looking for some wholesaler contact information to stock his business..plus didn't know that google was their friend.

I got took for 25 in a well-hidden pyramid scheme about starting businesses. I just took it as a lesson learned

You know.... I'm sure a lot of these bids were placed by unmanned sniper software.

Seriously... Who would pay for a LIST?????

That's ludicrous.

And I think the one person that responded only did so because they're too embarrassed to admit that they fuct up.

<< Ever think that perhaps he did want to buy INFO? >>

For $100? Use some common sense.

<< I agree with tm37, what if the person was planning on opening a business and was looking for some wholesaler contact information to stock his business..plus didn't know that google was their friend. >>

If they don't know how to use google to search for wholesalers so they don't have to pay $100 for a list, do you honestly think they're capable of opening a business?

I'm quite surprised: some people here are just as naive as those buyers.

BTW, no replies from that car_junk yet. Although I did get a reply from one of the other bidders:

<< Thank you for calling me nieve (just kidding) but only bid on one item
for a playstation 2 but was warned not to buy so I didn't. I think I
learned my lesson. THANKS
>>

Well, at least one person thanked me for caring. :)
