I haven't looked forward to a game this much in years. My Gamestop preorder shipped today, free overnight w/headset! I feel a 24-hour virus coming on, may have to call in sick.
 
Err Im not an fps sorta guy.but this squad, teamplay thing could be a lot of fun. Anyway I;m also looking forward to the launch of this game. Mabee us neffers could get together?

Word. I've been looking to buy a game and I was about to pick up Guild Wars but I think I'll wait for a some BF2 retail comments then decide, but since I'm more of a FPS-guy I'll likely end up with BF2. Sorry JO, you might get neglected in the coming months...
 
oh man, i never played any BF. what a way to start. I'm actually kicking ass at it too! teamplay/communications is such a sweet element. though going on a rogue Spec Ops mission is fun too. nothing like C4ing the MEC equipment and picking off their engineer 4 or 5 times while your team dominates.

I will purchase the DVD edition when I get home because I've been playing the demo non stop.

Wasn't in Wal-Mart earlier, I think I'll call my local Best Buy before I head over there and see if they have it.
 
I check Best Buy, CompUSA, Gamestop, EBgames, Software Etc.

They all don't have it. But I bought my preorder at Gamestop, 52 bucks for the DVD edition. They said tomorrow. How messed up is that crap.
 
I just went ahead and ordered from Gamestop.com, free 3 day shipping and no tax means I get the DVD version by Friday and for the standard 49 bucks!
 
Friday, how can you wait that long. I plan to go down to Fry's just to make sure i get it as soon as possible then play it ALL DAY LONG AND ALL NIGHT. Its gonna be sweet, mini lan party at my house for teh win.
 
What sucks is that I no longer have my gaming computer operating. I sold the 3.2 Pentium 4 I had and now I'm waiting on an X2 4400+. BF2 will be coming this week for me.

Alas, I'm going to get BF2 blue-balled...looking at the box but no action.
