Alright - is this good or not? It's a WD 120 GB 7200 RPM (ATA100) which costs $139.95.

Here

There is a $50 and a $20 rebate on it starting on Sunday, 11/2. There is also a $30 off $150 around if you look - ahem...check Chubby.

I think 41 cents/GB is pretty good. It might go well in my PIVO.

I wonder if they'll pull the crap like they did last week where the say you can't use a coupon with the purchase of the HD.

"Sorry, this product is currently unavailable."

Even if I manually search for 120gb. Looks like they're onto this one already.

I called and they said I could order it over the phone, but I didn't ask about the coupon because I couldn't find it.

Go to chubby wallet and search for the officemax coupon thread...it's listed in the 1st page of the thread under coupons for orders <$150.

I was thinking about this deal this morning, but didn't want to post until I knew if they were going to limit the use of coupons or not.

I was able to find it on their site earlier...

Actually, what they might be doing by pulling it now is trying to avoid people buying it now, then going to B&M on Sun. to return-rebuy. I bet it pops back up on Sun.

there is also a $30.00 off $150.00 coupon right now too, so you could buy something for over $10.01 and it would be free.

am i allowed to give the info for the coupon in a PM????

I will if allowed, if not, sorry.

In a PM is fine. I forgot about the $30 coupon. The link says product unavailable but if you search for 20346127 it comes up. I notice that they have already changed the base price on this, earlier it was $159. So now you need a filler item. What's FAR that week? I guess I should go look.

All I can find is a $20 off $100 that expires today.

Edit: I found the coupon! Crap...it's online only. Guess I'll have to stay up saturday night and order it asap.

D'OH...well that sucks. Maybe I'll call and ask the nearest OD if they take printed coupons in store.

People at FW said that the ad on the web (before they took it out) said that you couldn't use a coupon with this offer. Might be YMMV

It always says that about items before the sale begins. The deal last week was the same way; they took the HD off the site. Wait until late Sunday morning or possibly even mid-day Sunday and it should be available.

Thanx! I'll keep my fingers crossed... very difficult to type that way, though... ;)

The $20 and $50 rebates can be found on OfficeMax's web site under rebates and the $20 off $125 link can be found at your major coupon sites so yes if they put the hard drive back online Sunday for $139.95 and you do end up getting all rebates to work it should be only $49.95 plus shipping.

But there is a problem, both the rebates say you must send them your original CPU form the box.
Did I miss something or is there a way to get one of these rebates to work with only a copy of the cpu? If their is not then it sounds like this drive will be $70.

2ond Question, it there a way to not have to pay shipping and still get the $20 off $125 to work. Could you pay for it online but picking it up in the store or do they only honer this is your have it shipped to you. Is there a way to get free shipping.

Let me know what you guys think.

coupon is coming up as "Sorry, this promotion has ended". Looks like this deal is a "no-go"

The box has a CPU? Whoa, technology is really becoming ubiquitous.
