You should. Different period= different rebate. But where are you going to find a 120gb now? let me know. I want one too.

Yes, this is a free country, buy whatever you want with your own money. No, it doesn't look like you can get both rebate.

I believe you can because it is a different offer number. I suggest you file it on-line anyway because it is quicker, and I'd bet it will say nothing about the other two drives on that form.;)

And for those that are getting cancelled orders, that is why you order ahead of time. My hard drive and cd-rw will be delivered tomorrow.

:)

I was just about to order online. When I looked at the page for the hard drive, it said 1-day delivery. However, when I put in in my cart and got to the confirmation page, it said it was backordered. I cancelled my order. I don't want to wait and there is some discussion that the backorders will not be filled. There will be other deals soon.

I placed my order at 8:54 am and just finished pricematcing the drive to the in store ad. The CSR made the adjustments and didn't say anything about canceling the back ordered drive. I ordered the WD drive and 50 Fujifilm CD-R's. $50.96 including tax and after rebates.

According to some of the FWer's, some of the CSR said that there was a limited stock. Don't get me wrong, they may fill all the backorders. However, what other good deals will be available while you are waiting for a backordered drive?

That's exactly what I ordered too. But the CSR said all orders which have the disk as backordered will get cancelled and so she said not much point in me waiting for a few days to find that out. So I cancelled my order. Oh well... maybe next time.

I just got one. They have loads of these at the store by me, but they wouldn't take my $30 off $150 coupon :( But my harddrive said 2mb cache on the box, but it had an 8mb cache in there. Good deal

I ordered mine last night about 12:30 MST and then I called up this morning to get them to adjust the price.

The CSR that I talked to was able to make the adjustment and said that the order should be on its way on Monday :p

I went to Officemax got a SPECIAL EDITION DRIVE because they can be used as replacements for the 2mb cache ones. While they wouldn't take the $30 off 150 page I printed out, we signed up for their credit card and saved $25, so $45 for a 120gig isn't that bad. It came to 37.5 Cents per gig for me if you calculate it out.

Also, while the rebate form has the UPC number for the 2mb edition, they will honor the special edition drives. Also, on the receipt, it was rung up with a special number for the price difference.

Ordered cendyne with paper clips. About $12 about tax and rebate, overall an okay deal for only 12x rewrite speed (I burn a lot of one-time-use vcds). Spoke to Calissia on the phone who said that OM will honor $10 rebate.

i was going to mention that. What should we mark down on the rebate? the cendyne one for this drive, under the old date?

It came with a pink slip of paper that said that I recieved an 8mb cache version for the price of a 2mb cache. A "free upgrade". Then I looked at the drive and it was a JB.

Already have four WD120GB SEs from the November Dell deal but I went to the B&M and picked up 2 128MB jump drives, the Cendyne 48x12x48 (not Liteon BTW) and the Fuji 48X CD-Rs for $25 after rebates. I already sold the Cendyne for $20, so the CD-Rs and two jump drives cost me $5 after rebates.

The story on the jump drives was that Lexar recalled ALL 256MBs so OfficeMax was substituting 2 128MBs which is actually better for my purposes. Lexar is honoring the 256MB model rebate on pairs of 128s. I opened an OfficeMax credit account and that knocked $25 off my purchase then I used a Staples $25 coupon.

I dont know what to say

One small mistake... and a big mess.

I saw this post, went online yesterday night after midnight and placed the order. However, I forgot to add the paper clips. So... I call them at ..say 5 am... and say..hey dude.. wassup... Well... I got this order and I gotta change it. They said....okie...but if you need to add anything you gotta cancel this order...... and then they say..sowwy... we cannot reorder it for you coz its on backorder. DUH!!!! NOW comes the FUN part....

I wake up in the afternoon and check the order status. It says.... OMG.... ITEM SHIPPED!!! AT THE HIGHER PRICE!!!

Gah

I immediately call up officemax.... and am told...the orders been cancelled. Online....its a whole different game.

One part of the screen says... Currently Back Ordered
Another says.. Item will be delivered on April 29th
Another part says... Item not shipped.
And On top of it all... there are 2 DIFFERENT order numbers for my order:|.
I checked... and both have been cancelled....when I called and asked..

I dunno what to doo. I dunno what to say. Any advice AT'ers?

Thanks

Mohan.

OfficeMax substituted the 8MB model for the 2MB model, but the rebate receipt did not print out for the 8MB cache model. I went to the next OfficeMax and they had lots of 2 MB cache models left. Again, the rebate receipt did not print.

Anyone else have the same thing happen to them?

Also, I picked up the OfficeMax Weekly Ad Planner that shows "AD Substitute SKU List" which shows the Original Item (2MB cache), the "Replacement Item" (8MB cache) and the "Procedure to Provide the Substitute and/or Rebate". I guess I'm going to send it in along with the rebate submission...

Interesting note at the bottom of the page:

"NOTE: The substitute must be offered in all stores."

Officemax weekly ad planner? What is that, is all the information on the same piece of paper? If you could scan it incase other people can't find it it'll probably be appreciated by more people than myself. Then again since I've never heard of it (unless it's online then I'm an idiot) could you tell us where you picked it up. Thanks
