OM B&M Clearance: Cybiko CYX2 $29 YMMV

Just noticed in my local OfficeMax B&M store (Ann Arbor, MI) that they have the Cybiko CYX2 on clearance for $29. It also has a free MP3 player offer "while supplies last", although AFAIK this is dead. From what I can gather, nobody actually wants these things. Might make an interesting stocking filler tho. Amazon is looking $80 for them.

I bought 4 of the original Cybikos about a year ago for $9 each when they were on sale at OD. They're kind of impressive for what they are. The ad hoc wireless network is the best part. They are also totally programmable. There is a SDK out there to program them in C. I bought them with the intention of using them as brains for robots. That way they could be networked together. I guess you could also program them to be cheap wireless modems, but with the price of 802 equipment so low now, what's the point.
