You guys can try to PM to B&M stores assuming they don't hate you already for trying to get the Sony Clie. It is a nice camera little bulky in my opinion but still a very nice camera. Also picked one up on the Target clerance sale.

If they put it in their policy i would be fine with it, but for them to make crap up annoys me. They will pricematch it if it's a couple bucks, but not if it is $100, where does it say the $$ amount matters. But it's their store... so not much to do. I might get them to put in writing why they wont PM, then Amex will match it, i bet they are scared to put it in writing though.

I've never had a problem with the managers here PMing other Staples, regardless of where the store is located. I guess I'm lucky

The "Seattle" stores that are having the special are: Bellevue, Burien, Kent, Marysville, Monroe, N. Seattle, Port Orchard, and Seattle. Some of these are quite a ways away from Seattle -- it's worth trying at another Washington state store.

Take a browse through the clie posts on anandtech and FW. Its been run through corporate a number of times. There is enough on the ads to point out they are only for the seattle area so its purely up to the store managers.

I've owned this camera for about a year and, although it is only 1.3 megapixels, it takes outstanding pictures. The negatives are, no optical zoom and it is a bit bulky. Make sure you buy some rechargeable AA NiMH batteries. Target put their old model digital cameras (Olympus 360, 460Zoom and Fujifilm Finepix 1300) on clearance a couple of weeks ago. You can try Target, but if you find one you are lucky. Perhaps there is a display model left you can cut a deal on.

It was sent to me by Staples as a 'sneak preview'. It'll probably be in the paper tomorrow.

The Staples in N. Seattle is already open -- Is there another one farther north?

There is a Staples in Lynnwood just across the street from Lowes Hardware on 196th St, just east of I-5. It's not open yet as far as I know. I beleive someone in a prior thread said it wouldn't be open until August.

I just called Staples and they told me that they won't pricematch with Seattle because they are having a grand opening special. I said &quot;isn't staples suppose to price match with ANY Staples in the country?&quot; then he simply just repeated &quot;Seattle is having a grand opening special and we will not pricematch.&quot; ?? Does this mean we can't do this?

DAMN IT! I just called and both Seattle stores says they are already out of stock on the camera (1 hour after the store opened), it's already gone.
