There is merit to using the Equal Protection clause to "even out" laws between the states, the argument has been made before but no one has been able to do it yet. If anything, I imagine gat marriage will be the issue that pulls it off. Have to do away with DOMA first.

Yeah, I'm not a gun grabber. I strongly believe that those who think the 2nd is outdated need to have it amended, if they can. Otherwise, deal with it. It's fairly straightforward to read and understand. Some people just don't want to: I'm looking at you Piers Morgan.
