This summer I want to have full njoyment of DX 11 gaming.i've finished of my school so have a plenty of time.I want a decent mobo for :

1.Overclocking my Radeon 7770 Ghz Edition only not the CPU.
2.Must be LGA 775,as I've a Pentium Dual core CPU.
3.No need of SATA III (6 Gb/s).
4.No USB 3.0 required.
5.Price within 60 USD.

For those who want to tell me to go with LGA 1155 SB or IB mobo,I'm doing this whole upgrade of mobo+GPU+PSU from my pocket money which I have only 230 USD.So please do give me good suggestion.

thanx for ur time,patience 🙂

What PSU do you now have?
"Price within 60 USD" = ?
Does that mean $60 over your budget of $230?
Are you willing to go with used parts?
Should be able to cobble together a better socket 775 CPU + motherboard + DDR3 for that much $'s, expecially if you can re-use your existing PSU.

Yeah I need to fit in a mobo within that 230 USD.No man I can buy a little cheaper parts but all first hand,no used ones. What I think to reuse is my 4 GB DDR2 RAM,SATA II 250 GB HDD,CASE,Fans and my Pentium Dual Core Processsor.

I want a cheap LGA 775 mobo with PCIe 2.0 and which can OC my GPU only and where I can reuse my 4 GB of DDR2 RAM.No need for onboard video.

How is G41 ??

@vailr
CPU is this─Intel Pentium(R) Dual-Core CPU E5200 @ 2.50GHz (2 CPUs), ~2.5GHz
Will have to search the documents to tell about the PSU.i'll let u know at the earliest.Thanx for ur concern. 🙂

G41 is a crap chipet. You need P45. A Gigabyte P45 UD3 should be fine. Years back when i had an E8500 that board took it to 4.9Ghz

OP

Order this

http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Intel-C...445?pt=CPUs&hash=item3f165a5915#ht_720wt_1396

Plus this

And use on board graphics for awhile.

Putting money into 775 is worse then burning it

Well will I xpect BF3 to run at medium settings on that mobo ?? I don't think so.
BTW,how is Core 2 quad than G850 ?? I mean it's a quad core and latter is a dual core though the socket and architecture are different.

I dont think you will find a good socket 775 mother board for cheap most of them are overpriced and cost more then 1155 cpu and mobo combo.

btw don found that 13 2130 for cheap thats nice. I dont see why you wouldn't jump on that.

Nowadays, what motherboard you have will have makes no difference in performance.
I would definitely recommend selling your Pentium E5200, and getting an LGA1155-based setup.

EDIT: Nevermind, I didn't realize that you were talking about the onboard graphics. 😳
Still, it's very much worth putting your money into a newer platform, and you can run BF3 on low settings with Intel's iGPU, I think.

Here's a comparison of your CPU, and one similar (~9% slower, actually) to the one Don recommended:

And to answer your G850 vs. C2Q question, they are pretty close in performance.
The Q6600 edges-out a small lead in >2-threaded tasks, but the G850 is better everywhere else.
