Hi All
I have a Epox 8kta3+ mobo with a Athlon 1.0g cpu. This has been the best system I have ever owned bar none. A frind gave me a Athlon XP2000 cpu(1700) and I would like to put it into the ta3+ mobo. I know the Bios does not support the 2000 cpu but if the 2000 is pin compatable with my old cpu ,which I think it is, can I put it into the ta3+, set up the correct volts, multipliers, etc and make it run? I dont expect it to run like a mobo that was made for it but I would like to get a free boost of some kind from the XP 2000 cpu. Power supply is up to the task along with everything else.
Thanks for reading GEC
