Oldest upgrade ever?

I was wondering what the oldest time between upgrades was, personally or pro was for any of you. I ask because my 28-yr old baby cousin just bought an i5 laptop, and he upgraded from my Amiga 4000 (w/ZORRO-slot LAN card) that I gave him in 1994... my company still runs IBM AS400s and a Netframe NF450 of an even earlier era. I believe we have a sparcstation 2 with a $3,000 207MB SCSI disc in it; side-mounted 3.5" floppy. Holy Hell.

I'd say you are in contention. A few years ago, there was somebody here asking about upgrading a Dentist's office computer. The computer was an old Compaq with a "Hard Card" hard disk (disk mounted on an ISA card). That person was also a contender.
